Brasilian Falls

 

Duration: 4 Hours. Approx (Half Day)

Daily departure:  8.30 hours, 14 hours.

 

The excursion will take you to know the wonderful Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side from where we’ll have a panoramic view of the Argentinean Falls. We’ll get close to the “Floriano”, “Deodoro” and “Benjamin” and we’ll walk through the paces over the “Santa Maria” waterfall.

Optional: Lunch at a typical churasqueria with a variety of more than 30 cold plates and roasted meat with musical Show.

 

 

 

Argentinean Falls

Duration: Full Day

Departure: 8,15 hs.

 

The excursion to the Argentinean Falls is the main visit in Iguazú. It combines the visit with an ecological train ride and long walks inside the park.  

 

Departure to the Iguazu National Park that together with the reservations offers 67.000 hectares of wonderful subtropical vegetation where giant trees and ferns live together with colourful butterflies, beautiful birds and others examples of the local rich fauna. And finally visit to the Iguazu Falls.

 

 

We’ll start the visit at the interpretation centre with the natural science museum, to follow the run of  the interior walk where we can observe among others the two sister’s waterfalls “dos Hermanas”, “Bossetti”, “Escondido” and a panoramic view of “San Martin” island and “Union” waterfall.

 

Afterwards we’ll visit the inferior walking, moving through important waterfalls until we’ll get to “San Martin” waterfalls and up to the Devil’s Throat where the Iguazu Falls shows all its strength and beauty.

  

We specially recommend adding the excursion Great Adventure, which consists in a ride in Zodiac through the waterfalls and 4x4 along the jungle.  

 

 

San Ignacio Ruins and Wanda mines

Departure: 7, 30 hs.

Duration: 9 hs. approx. (Wednesday and Saturday)

Near to the city of Posadas there are old ruins of the Jesuit’s missions. One of the most important is San Ignacio Mini, 56km from the capital city.

The beauty of this stones, quartz, agate, amethyst and crystals, gives the visitors the possibility to admire the amazing work of nature which took thousand of years to create this treasures. 

Great Adventure

 

Guided tour

Ride inside the National Park through the jungle and waterfalls.

JUNGLE: 8 Km Truck ride through the Yacaratia trail.

RAPIDS: 6Km Navigation through the lower Iguazu River including 2km on rapids.

CASCADES: the speedboats will break into the Devil’s throat canyon and then into the most important argentine ones.

Approximated time: 1hour. Departures: from our dock in front of San Martin island or from our head office near the visitor’s centre.  

 

 

Nautical Adventure

 

Duration: approx. 15/20 minutes. Departure: every 20 minutes.

 

This boat ride starts at the dock in front of the San Martin Island breaking into the Devil’s throat canyon and the unforgettable baptism under the San Martin waterfall (the 2 end most important one)

 

 

 

Guaraní Village

 

Duration: 2 Hours.

It is a unique opportunity to make contact with an ancestral culture, the M`BYA GUARANIES of the “Fortin M`Borore” village. They reveal to us the secrets of the jungle, natural medicine, its culture, dances, handicrafts, its life’s philosophy and beliefs.        

Discover the “tree’s Spirits” by walking through the jungle guided by natives expert. 

Mundoargentina collaborates with the village development, by showing its culture and traditions.  

 

 

Alto Paraná cruise

Duration: 3 hours

This excursion consists in a catamaran ride through the Parana River.

Departure: 17.30 hours, return:  20.00 hours.

This ride allows us to enjoy the view of the Tres Fronteras, navigating through the Iguazu up to the Parana and descending through it up to the native’s community of Puerto Bertoni. 

Once there the visitor will be able to appreciate from the catamaran deck the ritual of Fertility held by the Guaranies.

On our way back we’ll enjoy a Live Musical Show.

Rafain Cataratas Show

Dinner included

Departure: 20.00 hours.

Duration: 3 hours.

Music Show at night (tickets and transfers included). Is a typical Brazilian show with zamba, batucadas (drums), and dancers.

 

 

Nature reserve of Iberá

 

Is one of the most important Sweetwater reserves of the continent. Is the biggest natural reserve of Argentina. Is an important habitat of fauna diversity that makes the place unique. 

Nowadays is one of the wild life refuges most important of the world.

   

Inside the reserve live 4 species declare natural monuments: “Lobito de rio” (river lion), “aguara guazu”, deer of the Pampas and deer of the marsh.

The Esteros of Ibera are the epicentre of the reserve, where you can make incomparable wild fauna watching.

  

 

Itaipú Hydroelectric dam  

The visit to the dam is held along with the visit to the Brazilian Falls.

The name "Itaipu" was taken from an isle that existed on the Parana River between Brazil and Paraguay. In the Guarani language, Itaipu means "singing stones".

The main dam has 1406mtrs long and 185mtrs high. It floods an area of 1350 km. It works with a water volume 30 times bigger than the volume of the Iguazu waterfalls. Is the biggest hydroelectric dam of the world.   

 

 

 

 

Birds Park (Foz, Brazil)

 

Duration: Approx. 3 hours.

 

You’ll enjoy a magical day between exotic birds, free toucans, gigantic butterflies, and the great diversity of local flora and fauna.

It is a zoo specialized in birds of more than 20 hectares of forest, located close to the National Park.

Inside the Park you’ll be able to watch eagles, parrots, “macuco” (partridge) and more species.
