Calafate Perito Moreno glacier and National Park.

After crossing the Centinela and Mitre River, we reach to Brazo Rico to enter the national park. Going round the Rico Lake we start seeing icebergs floating over the lake until we reach Perito Moreno glacier declared WORLD NATURAL heritage SITE by the UNESCO. We can walk through the allowed paths to take a view from the different angles of the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier and view ice detachments.
Glaciers National Park with Minitrekking
Departure from the pier at 10 am and returns at 4 pm. Is recommended to take food and trainers. First you take the boat for crossing the Brazo Rico from the Magallanes peninsula up to the opposite shore.
You`ll have an amazing view of the glacier and its cracks. On your way back you`ll walk through the forest. There is a special are where you can have your picnic.

Departure: 11am up to 4pm departures every hour.
During the route the boat approaches to the glacier where you can see ice detachments of the glacier. The craft Yagan haves capacity for 130 passengers.

The catamaran also reaches the Onelli glacier that includes a walk at the Onelli bay with its typical patagonic woods up to the Onelli lake that is full of icebergs.
At this point passengers can have lunch. Back at the catamaran we sail up to the Spegazzini glacier, the highest galcier of the park. At 6pm aprox return to Calafate.
There are different lakes Inside the National Park: Blegrano, Belgrano, Burmeister, Lácteo river, Escondido, Volcán, Nansen, Azara, Mogote and Península. Also you can find petrify trees with more than 10mts high and extinguish animals fossils.
Big Ice Full day excursion
There is a perfect view of the immense
plateau of ice. During the walk you will be introduced to a number of
features with in the ice, huge moulins, crevasses and caves. Expert
mountains guides will always lead you, looking after your safety.
You’ll hike for three hours, and spend some time having lunch (not included) somewhere on the ice. Back on the moraine we start our descent to catch the boat around 03:pm. We are glad to be able to offer one of the most spectacular Ice-hikes in the world. mportant notes: this walk is aimed for people between 18 and 45 years of age, with good physical conditions, considering a 7 hours walk over the glacier. What to bring: sunglasses, sun screen, comfortable clothe, gloves, hat, raincoat jacket, hiking boots, backpack (40lts), food and bottle of water.
El Calafate Citytour
Duration:2/3 hours Departures: 9.30 am
It passes through the oldest streets of the old town, showing the typical pioneers` first constructions and the local flora and fauna. Visit to the Nimez Lagoon, with bird watching.

This
excursion is a fascinating opportunity to walk over the glacier. It doesn’t
demand great skills, easy walking path.
The
excursion consist in navigating Rico lake where you can appreciate ice
floe.

through the northern branch of Argentino Lake to the Upsala Glacier, the one
with more ice surface 595km2. Its walls have between 60 and 80 mts high.

At
09:00 AM we sail across the Rico Arm, onboard the boat “the Tehuelche”. 10
minutes later mountain guides will welcome you at the opposite shore, very
close to the Perito Moreno Glacier. After checking the gear, we get ready
pick up the lateral moraine towards the centre of the glacier. After an
hour’s walk we reach the point where we start our walk on the ice.
